Mississippi CDL school bus tests happen at many DPS offices across the state. Major locations include Jackson (on High Street), Gulfport (Dedeaux Road), Tupelo (South Gloster Street), and Hattiesburg (Highway 49). Call ahead – appointments are required for all CDL tests. No walk-ins.
Bring your valid MS driver's license, Social Security card, and proof of residency. The test fee for the school bus endorsement is $10 (plus the base CDL fee). You'll also need a DOT physical card if you drive interstate. Check the DPS website for the latest form list.
Plan for a two-hour visit. The test includes a written portion and a skills test. If you fail, you can retake it after one business day. No limit on retakes, but each costs the fee again. Study hard the first time.
